Required Degree: MA in English, MFA in Creative Writing, or master’s degree in a comparable field. The required degree must be completed before the start date.
Experience: College-level English literature course instruction.
Duties/Expectations:
Teach GE civilization and letters (literature) courses, including:
- ENGL 201 (World Lit 1)
- ENGL 202 (World Lit 2)
- ENGL 203 (Ways of Reading)
- ENGL 232 (Shakespeare)
- ENGL 230 (Studies in Literature)
- ENGL 235 (Studies in American Literature)
- ENGL 236 (Studies in British Literature)
- Course descriptions and outcomes are available in the BYU Course Catalog
Additional Duties:
- Participate in ad hoc workshops and events as coordinated by the English Department’s adjunct faculty liaison.
- Invited to participate in minimal ad hoc curricular and mentoring assignments, and mini workshops
